Job DescriptionLegacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machinist II role in Wood Village, OR. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.Key Responsibilities: · Set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints, specifications, and job travelers. · Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work orders to determine machining operations, tooling requirements, and production methods. · Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools to ensure adherence to tight tolerances. · Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and programs as needed to maintain part quality and consistency. · Perform routine maintenance on machines, ensuring equipment is clean, lubricated, and in proper working condition. · Collaborate with engineers, leads, and other machinists to troubleshoot production issues and optimize processes. · Maintain accurate documentation of production data, quality checks, and material usage. · Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. · Assist in training and mentoring junior machinists as needed. · Perform other duties as assigned to support the production team. Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in machining preferred. · 2+ years of CNC machining experience in a production or precision manufacturing environment. · Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.). · Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code programming; experience editing CNC programs preferred. · Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or Mazak controls is a plus. · Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. · Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment. · Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods. · Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry and reporting.
