As part of our continued organizational growth, we are seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the Office of the Chief of Academic Affairs & Research Development. Position Summary The Junior Project Manager will provide operational, administrative, and project management support to the Office of Academic Affairs & Research Development. This position plays an essential role in coordinating academic, research, educational, workforce development, and strategic organizational initiatives across the health center. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities while collaborating across departments and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will support project planning, implementation, reporting, meeting coordination, stakeholder communication, and operational tracking to ensure projects remain aligned with organizational goals and timelines. This role is ideal for someone interested in healthcare leadership, public health, healthcare administration, academic medicine, research operations, or organizational strategy. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Project Management & Coordination • Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating multiple academic, research, operational, and workforce development projects simultaneously., • Develop and maintain project timelines, workplans, trackers, status reports, and action item logs., • Monitor project deliverables, deadlines, and milestones to support timely project completion., • Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, and track follow-up items., • Support execution of strategic initiatives under the direction of the Chief of Academic Affairs & Research Development., • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate project implementation and communication. Academic Affairs & Educational Program Support • Assist with coordination of academic partnerships, student placement programs, internships, residency collaborations, and workforce development initiatives., • Coordinate communications with educational institutions, faculty, students, trainees, and organizational leadership., • Support planning and execution of educational sessions, workshops, trainings, and special events., • Maintain academic affiliation records, schedules, and supporting documentation. Research & Administrative Support • Assist with research-related operational activities, tracking systems, and documentation management., • Support collection, organization, and maintenance of project and research-related data., • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, executive summaries, and supporting materials for leadership meetings and organizational initiatives., • Maintain organized electronic and physical project records., • Support grant-related administrative coordination and reporting activities as assigned. Data Tracking & Reporting • Create and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools., • Compile and analyze data related to departmental initiatives, operational performance, and project outcomes., • Assist with monitoring compliance, deliverables, and reporting deadlines for departmental projects., • Prepare professional presentations and reports for executive leadership and organizational stakeholders. Operational & Administrative Responsibilities • Coordinate meeting logistics, scheduling, calendars, and departmental communications., • Support procurement requests, vendor coordination, and operational workflows related to departmental projects., • Assist with drafting policies, workflows, procedures, and organizational documents., • Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects as assigned., • Perform additional administrative and operational duties to support the Office of Academic Affairs & Research Development. Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree required in:, • Healthcare Administration, • Public Health, • Business Administration, • Project Management, • Health Sciences, • Education, • Research Administration, • Or related field, • Master’s degree in progress preferred. Experience • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, healthcare administration, academic administration, operations, research support, public health, or related field preferred., • Experience working in healthcare, higher education, nonprofit, academic, or community-based settings preferred., • Experience supporting multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment preferred. Required Skills & Competencies • Strong organizational and time management skills., • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities., • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams., • Ability to develop reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and project documentation., • Professionalism and ability to work effectively with executive leadership and multidisciplinary teams., • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration across departments., • Strong follow-through, initiative, and adaptability. Preferred Qualifications • Exposure to project management methodologies or project management software., • Familiarity with healthcare operations, academic medicine, research administration, workforce development, or grant-funded programs., • Knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) or community healthcare settings preferred., • Interest in healthcare leadership, research development, academic affairs, or organizational strategy.
