Venture Analyst Investment Associate Position Our client is seeking a passionate and self-motivated individual to join a growing investment team. The team focuses on investments in AI-enabled infrastructure, data platforms, workflow automation, digital risk models, and next-generation systems that modernize care delivery, underwriting, claims, and regulatory compliance. This role offers tremendous growth opportunities and exposure across the entire investment lifecycle. Responsibilities • Source potential investment opportunities, • Perform financial modeling and analysis of growth and venture-stage companies, • Conduct investment due diligence on companies at all stages and support investment committee presentations, • Record all deal information for reporting and trend analysis, • Research and report on industry trends and potential new business models, • Cultivate and manage relationships with key industry contacts, including limited partners, • Assist in all aspects of portfolio company management, including exposure to roles on portfolio company boards Experience • Experience in venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field, • Experience with financial modeling and analysis, • Familiarity with SaaS economics (ARR, NRR, CAC/LTV), • Familiarity with AI/ML platforms and data infrastructure, • Familiarity with healthcare and insurance regulatory environments a plus, • Ability to assess product defensibility and technical architecture Skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas, • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and network within healthcare, insurance, and venture capital communities, • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation, • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to ask challenging questions within complex domains, including comfort with technical due diligence, • Track record of strong judgment and ability to navigate ambiguity, • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment General • This role is based in Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; or Palo Alto, CA, with occasional travel. Compensation for this role has a long-term outlook and philosophy. Base salary range is $100,000 – $130,000, commensurate with experience. The position is eligible for discretionary bonuses based on individual, team, and company performance.
