First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in San Bernardino, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 10/13/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel --- Unit: ICU • beds: They are licensed for 44 beds but they are currently using 36, • Certs: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required, CCRN preferred, • Ratios: 1:2 or 1:1, • EMR: Cerner Power chart, • Charge Nurse: yes - they do not take a patient assignment, • Nurse Aides: No nurse aides but they do have a unit tech that does secretary duties, equipment duties, etc., • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, Fri, Sat, Sun (for both days and nights), • Holidays: Yes- work them in with perm staff rotation - that is when they are needed most so travelers should expect to work holidays, • Scrub Color: Navy Blue, • Drips: Vasopressors, Nitro, Heparin, etc., • Vents: Yes, • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes - they are in house 24/7 Sound Physician group, • IV Team: No, • RT 24/7: Yes, • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, • Shifts: 0645-1915/1845-0715 - 12 hr shifts, no self scheduling, • Floating: Yes- to Tele & ER for ICU Holds, • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: (PACU patients will go directly to ICU) Cardiac, PCI, Open Heart, Sepsis, ETOH, Stroke, CABG, stents, balloon pumps, cath lab ( some- most of them will recover on the DOU unit), craniotomies, travlers are not assigned fresh open heart or crani's - they do not have to have experience in that area, general medical surgical ICU nurses are needed, 3 years minimum experience, unless coming from a big institution with 2+ years’ experience, prior travel experience preferred Job ID: 958958 About First Connect Health At First Connect Health, we take pride in being a Joint Commission–certified healthcare staffing agency, headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.
