The Medical Staff Services and Recruitment Coordinator support private medical practice by managing the recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing of physicians, advanced practice providers, and other credentialed clinical staff. This role ensures timely hiring, regulatory compliance, and positive onboarding experience while maintaining accurate and confidential medical staff records. Key Responsibilities: Provider Recruitment & Onboarding • Coordinate the full recruitment process for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, other credentialed providers, and general staff., • Post job openings, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and coordinate candidate communications, • Assist with preparation of offer letters and employment agreements, and manage the onboarding documentation from start to finish, • Guide new providers through onboarding, credentialing, and enrollment processes to ensure a smooth start, • Manage and coordinate onsite interview logistics, including scheduling, travel coordination, and accommodations for candidates., • Serves as the primary point of contact for recruiting firms, • Helps with planning and initiating hiring events, • Ensure all staff credentials are kept up to date, • Maintains social media campaigns for all practices, • Manage initial and ongoing credentialing for medical staff, including licenses, DEA, board certification, education, training, and work history, • Oversee peer review functions, • Coordinate payer enrollment and revalidation as required (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers), • Track and monitor expirations of licenses, certifications, malpractice insurance, and other required credentials, • Maintain accurate and confidential provider files and credentialing databases, • Ensure compliance with state regulations, payer requirements, and practice policies, • Assist in maintaining and updating credentialing-related policies and procedures, • Support audits, payer requests, and credentialing verifications, • Act as a liaison between providers, practice leadership, human resources, external credentialing organizations and medical staff committees, • Respond promptly to provider and payer inquiries Required • High school diploma or equivalent required, • Associates or bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or Health Administration Preferred., • Experience in provider credentialing, medical staff services, or healthcare administration, • Knowledge of provider credentialing, payer enrollment, and private practice operations, • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credentialing software or databases, • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or similar certification, • Experience in private practice or outpatient healthcare setting, • Office-based role with potential for limited remote work depending on practice needs, • Frequent computer use and handling of confidential information, • Flexible schedule may be required to support provider onboarding timelines Corporate Culture Expectations Demonstrates the office Corporate Culture at all times with colleagues, providers, outside offices/vendors, patients and their family members.
