We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor who can lead people, support daily production, maintain quality and safety standards, and help drive consistent execution on the manufacturing floor. Position Summary The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations in support of supplement production. This role ensures that production activities are completed safely, efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with company procedures, quality expectations, and cGMP requirements. This position is best suited for a manufacturing leader who enjoys coaching people, solving production problems, supporting schedules, using production data, and working cross-functionally with Quality, Planning, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other operational teams. While experience in dietary supplements, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food manufacturing, medical device, or other regulated industries is helpful, we are also interested in candidates with strong general manufacturing leadership experience who can learn our products, processes, and cGMP environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Production Leadership • Lead daily manufacturing activities to meet production schedules, quality expectations, and business needs., • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and production priorities to support efficient workflow., • Monitor production progress and help resolve issues that may impact schedule, quality, safety, or productivity., • Support communication between manufacturing, planning, quality, warehouse, maintenance, and other departments., • Supervise, coach, train, and develop manufacturing team members and leads., • Help build a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment., • Support employee selection, onboarding, scheduling, daily deployment, and performance feedback., • Conduct performance reviews and address performance, attendance, conduct, or training issues as needed., • Ensure manufacturing activities are performed in accordance with company SOPs, batch records, cGMP expectations, and safety requirements., • Partner with Quality Assurance to address documentation issues, deviations, investigations, and corrective actions., • Reinforce the importance of accuracy, documentation discipline, cleanliness, and compliance on the production floor., • Use production metrics, variance information, right-first-time data, labor tracking, downtime information, and other operational data to understand performance and identify improvement opportunities., • Support practical continuous improvement efforts using tools such as 5S, root cause analysis, standard work, visual management, and process observation., • Help identify recurring production issues and participate in corrective action planning., • Work with Maintenance and other departments to help reduce downtime, improve workflow, and increase production efficiency., • Work with Planning and Scheduling to align staffing, materials, equipment, and production priorities., • Support new product introductions, pilot runs, and production readiness activities as needed., • Communicate operational constraints, staffing needs, and production risks in a timely and professional manner. Education and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required., • Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be strongly considered., • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, operations, or related environment preferred., • Prior experience as a supervisor, lead, team lead, production coordinator, or similar role preferred., • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, direct, and hold team members accountable., • Practical understanding of manufacturing operations, production flow, staffing, and daily schedule execution., • Ability to read, use, and act on production metrics and operational data., • Familiarity with SOPs, batch records, documentation practices, or quality-controlled production environments., • Understanding of cGMP or willingness and ability to learn cGMP requirements., • Practical experience with Lean, 5S, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement preferred., • Strong communication and problem-solving skills., • Ability to work well with Quality, Planning, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other cross-functional partners., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and compliance., • Ability to work in both office and production environments., • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing area for extended periods., • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds., • Ability to wear required PPE., • Exposure to moderate noise, production equipment, and temperature variation may occur.
