Job Description JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE The Claims Adjuster will oversee general liability, workers compensation and automobile-related claims. The role is responsible for overseeing the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims related to property damage, personal injury, environmental incidents, and other liabilities associated with natural gas utility operations. The Claims Adjuster ensures timely and cost-effective claim handling while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role also involves engagement with inside and outside attorneys to manage litigation related to claims matters. ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Review and resolve claims involving third-party property damage, bodily injury, and environmental liability., • Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, Legal, Safety) to gather facts and documentation., • Conduct or oversee investigations into incidents and accidents., • Liaise with insurance carriers, legal counsel, and third-party adjusters., • Support litigation management and discovery processes when claims escalate., • Communicate with Operations personnel to obtain additional details as needed., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files., • Process approved claims for payment., • All other claims related tasks assigned by Legal Department leadership.
