What You’ll Do As a Structured Day Program Assistant Manager, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and other eligible participants enrolled in the New York State Medicaid Waiver for TBI and Nursing Home Transition & Diversion (NHTD) programs. You’ll ensure high-quality operations while maintaining compliance with waiver requirements, individual service plans, and best practices in supporting individuals with cognitive, physical, and emotional challenges. The Assistant Manager helps manage day-to-day program operations, supervises staff, assists with planning and facilitating on-site and community-based activities, and maintains a safe and inclusive environment. The position also supports weekend operations as assigned by the SDP Manager and is responsible for promoting participant engagement, well-being, and program consistency. Participant Support & Program Operations • Help onboard new participants, including walkthroughs, documentation, authorizations, and assessments., • Develop weekend activity schedules and coordinate special events., • Support transportation coordination, including reviewing MAS standing orders and communicating with providers., • Lead weekend program operations, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, organized program environment., • Ensure food services meet program needs., • Remain on-call during operating hours for urgent issues or site-based emergencies., • Report and document incidents according to agency guidelines and coordinate follow-up. Quality, Compliance & Documentation • Monitor daily notes for accuracy, completion, and Medicaid compliance., • Maintain organized physical and electronic program records., • Track petty cash and maintain receipt documentation., • Leadership & Team Support, • Monitor and document staff attendance, performance, and policy concerns., • Mentor staff on behavioral strategies, waiver requirements, and participant-support best practices., • Participate in clinical team meetings (CTMs) as needed., • Customer Service/Interpersonal Skills:, • Maintains a professional and positive office presence, • Works cooperatively with supervisors and colleagues, • Contributes to a friendly, supportive, and respectful work environment, • Demonstrates professional appearance, communication, and conduct, • Recognizes limitations and seeks guidance appropriately Physical Demands: • Ability to work in a dynamic program environment with participants requiring varying levels of support, • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching., • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and provide physical assistance when needed, • Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as assisting with personal care or adaptive equipment Hours: Wednesday – Sunday, base of 40 hours weekly. *Weekend availability is required, as the Assistant Manager leads all weekend program operations. Requirements: Education and Experience: • Minimum requirement of Associates degree in Human Services or related field, • Certified New York State Personal Care Aide (PCA), or willingness to complete PCA training upon hire., • Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating adult structured day services or waiver program services OR 2 years of experience working with individuals with TBI, cognitive impairments, disabilities, elderly populations, and/or neurodiverse individuals, • Familiarity with the New York State TBI & NHTD Medicaid Waiver programs preferred

Job DescriptionSalary: $75,000+ (full time) Description: Registered nurses support midwifery model care in the community birth setting, directly assist the midwife in caring for clients during the course of prenatal, labor, postpartum, and newborn care, and maintain clinical responsibilities that facilitate smooth operation of the birth center. The full-time Staff RN will have two (2) nine-hour office days that also encompass an 8a-8p birth assistant call shift and four (4) additional 12-hour call shifts including weekend call. Although this position involves call, the RN can expect to attend approximately three to four (3-4) eight (8)-hour labors per month and three to four (3-4) 2-hour postpartum visits per month. The part-time Staff RN will have one (1) nine-hour office day that also encompass an 8a-8p birth assistant call shift and four (4) additional 12-hour call shifts including weekend call. Although this position involves call, the RN can expect to attend approximately two eight (8)-hour labors per month and two 2-hour postpartum visits per month. This position is equivalent to a 0.7 FTE in the hospital setting. The per diem Staff RN will have two to three (2-3) 12-hour call shifts per week (negotiable), including weekend call. The RN can expect to attend approximately one eight (8)-hour labor per month and one to two 2-hour postpartum visits per month. This position requires relevant experience in labor & delivery, mother/baby, or neonatal nursing. Duties & Responsibilities: • Upon initiation of employment, the nurse will complete an orientation and will be expected to read and understand The Coit House policies and procedures manual., • Office hours: During office hours, the RN will result normal labs & ultrasounds, answer portal messages, assist with statistics keeping, maintain stock of medications and supplies, and assist with review of medical records from transfers into the practice., • Prenatal care: The RN may conduct prenatal care visits in accordance with their scope of practice in NYS and will communicate prenatal data to the midwife in a timely manner., • Intrapartum care: the nurse will, at the direction of the CNM, provide or conduct labor support, set up the room for birth, monitor vital signs and fetal heart tones, assist with resuscitation, and administer medications. RNs may also provide early labor support., • Immediate postpartum care: The nurse will assist with ongoing assessment of postpartum person and newborn, provide postpartum education, assist with discharge home, and schedule follow up postpartum appointments., • Continuing Competency, • Maintains current certification in BLS and neonatal resuscitation., • Assist in planning of and implementation of in-service and drill programs for staff, • Attendance at staff in-service programs and emergency drills., • Continuous Quality Improvement: The nurse will be responsible for continuous quality improvement activities as assigned by the Director, including twice yearly CQI reviews, perinatal data registry, monthly chart reviews, staff meetings, and planning and implementing drills.
