Job DescriptionJob Title: Construction Project Manager Job Description This role leads and delivers multiple commercial construction projects from initial planning through closeout, with full responsibility for schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The Construction Project Manager oversees both ground-up and tenant improvement projects across a variety of sectors and serves as a key liaison between the office, the field, and project stakeholders. Responsibilities • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met., • Lead and coordinate ground-up and tenant improvement projects in sectors such as healthcare, financial, retail, dental, hospitality, industrial, aerospace, government, and multi-family., • Plan, direct, and oversee subcontractor buyouts, including scope definition, bid evaluations, and contract awards., • Conduct and support safety reviews to promote and maintain a safe jobsite environment in alignment with company and regulatory standards., • Prepare, review, and process change orders, ensuring accurate documentation, pricing, and communication with all stakeholders., • Manage monthly billing processes, including pay applications and supporting documentation, to maintain healthy project cash flow., • Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure alignment on design intent, constructability, and project goals., • Prepare, track, and manage submittals, contracts, RFIs, and all required project documentation to support timely decisions and approvals., • Identify, analyze, and resolve job site and contract-related challenges, proactively mitigating risk and minimizing project impacts., • Oversee budget control and profitability for assigned projects, including cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting., • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using appropriate scheduling tools, coordinating work sequencing with the project team and trade partners., • Interpret and work from construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and blueprints, to guide field execution and quality control., • Ensure effective document control practices, including version management and distribution of plans, specifications, and project communications., • Collaborate with business development efforts by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, design partners, and community stakeholders., • Support a culture of teamwork, trust, healthy conflict resolution, and shared accountability within the project team., • Leverage construction management software and other technology tools to manage project information, reporting, and communication efficiently.Essential Skills, • 5+ years of construction project management experience with a commercial general contractor., • Proven experience managing both ground-up and tenant improvement commercial construction projects., • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, including wood frame, steel, masonry, post-tension, tilt-wall, and pre-engineered metal buildings., • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and profitability across multiple projects., • Strong understanding of contract delivery methods, including lump sum, GMP, design-build, and cost-plus., • OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain it prior to starting in the role., • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore (preferred), Microsoft Project, or similar tools., • Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling tools., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents., • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams., • Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead project teams and trade partners toward shared goals., • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently., • Demonstrated capability in preparing and managing RFIs, submittals, contracts, change orders, and other project documentation., • Experience in project coordination, site development, and document control within commercial construction environments.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • A bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is a plus., • Experience with Sage 300 and TimberScan is a plus., • LEED and green construction knowledge is a plus., • Experience working across diverse project types such as healthcare, financial, retail, dental, hospitality, industrial, aerospace, government, and multi-family., • Familiarity with a variety of construction delivery methods and the ability to adapt to different project structures., • Strong cultural alignment with a team-oriented environment that values trust, healthy conflict, accountability, and collective success., • Ability to support business development by building and maintaining long-term client and community relationships.Work Environment This position splits time between a professional corporate office and active construction project sites. In the office, you will work in a modern business setting and regularly use computers, telecommunications tools, construction management software, document management systems, and standard office productivity applications. On active job sites, you will work in more rugged conditions and may be near moving mechanical equipment, experience vibrations, and encounter occasional fumes or airborne particles. Work may take place outdoors in varying weather conditions, including high heat and cold environments. Noise levels at project sites can range from moderate to high, reflecting typical commercial construction activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $58.00/hr.
