Job DescriptionJob Title: Forklift Operator Job Description This role involves safely operating a variety of industrial forklifts to load and unload engines in a large warehouse and engine storage facility. The position focuses on accurate handling of aircraft engines and parts, efficient use of warehouse systems, and adherence to international shipping requirements. Responsibilities • Operate industrial forklifts to load and unload engines and related components safely and efficiently., • Use stand-up and sit-down forklifts, including medium, large, and extra-large capacity equipment, to move heavy and oversized loads., • Handle engines and aircraft parts with care to prevent damage during loading, unloading, and storage., • Follow established procedures for storing engines and parts in designated locations within the warehouse and storage facility., • Utilize RF scanners to track, scan, and verify inventory movements and locations accurately., • Work within an ERP system to record inventory transactions, shipments, and receipts of aircraft parts and engines., • Support international shipping processes by following customs requirements and using correct commodity codes., • Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely and accurate loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing shipments., • Inspect forklifts before use and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse and storage facility., • Follow all safety guidelines, warehouse procedures, and equipment operating instructions at all times.Essential Skills, • 2–3 years of industrial forklift experience in a warehouse or similar environment., • Proficiency operating stand-up Raymond forklifts., • Experience operating medium-size sit-down forklifts such as a 10,000 lb capacity unit., • Experience operating large sit-down forklifts such as a 35,000 lb capacity unit., • Experience operating extra-large sit-down forklifts such as a 52,000 lb capacity unit., • Ability to safely handle heavy and oversized loads, including engines and large components., • Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking and verification., • Working knowledge of ERP systems for inventory and warehouse operations., • Knowledge of aircraft parts handling and identification., • Understanding of international shipping processes, including customs requirements and commodity codes., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working in an industrial or aviation-related warehouse environment., • Familiarity with engine storage procedures and best practices., • Ability to work collaboratively with shipping, receiving, and inventory teams., • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carrollton, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
