We offer clear career paths, tuition assistance, and ongoing learning opportunities to support your development., • You thrive in a culture that celebrates fun and fosters a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere, so you can bring the best of yourself to work every day., • Your journey is shaped by a culture of mentorship, where experienced colleagues guide your growth and you, in turn, inspire others., • Plan and execute Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), due diligence investigations, and environmental compliance audits in accordance with ASTM standards., • Design and implement site remediation programs including soil, groundwater, and vapor mitigation., • Prepare site characterization reports, corrective action plans, soil management plans and site-specific health and safety plans., • Perform field inspections, including sampling of soil, water, vapor, and air; well monitoring; and operation and maintenance of remediation systems., • Oversee field activities such as drilling, sampling, and remediation system installation with minimal supervision., • Coordinate effectively with laboratories for sample submission and chain-of-custody documentation., • Interpret environmental data and prepare technical reports, analytical data tables, plume mapping, and collaborate on GIS mapping for project documentation and regulatory submittal., • Monitor, collect data for, and optimize ongoing remediation systems., • Coordinate with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients., • Serve as Site Safety Officer, ensuring projects comply with applicable environmental laws and health and safety standards, including any required training requirements., • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions., • Ensure QA/QC standards are met throughout the project lifecycle., • Provide technical support for proposals, cost estimates, and remediation planning., • Support abatement-phase construction administration., • Conduct compliant asbestos building inspections, quantifications, draft reporting, and project air monitoring., • Conduct compliant materials inspections for lead paint, PCB-caulk, mold, and universal waste. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits. #LI-Hybrid #LI-CA1 Requirements: What You Bring, Your Expertise as an Environmental Specialist II • B.S. in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field., • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in site remediation and environmental consulting., • Knowledge of EPA and state remediation regulations (CERCLA, RCRA, NYSDEC, PADEP, etc.)., • Experience with remediation technologies (e.g. ISCO, SVE, bioremediation, excavation)., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills., • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities., • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-Hour with current 8-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER annual refresher., • NYSDOL-Certified Asbestos Building Inspector strongly preferred., • NYSDOL certifications including Asbestos Air Monitor, Project Designer, or Mold Assessor a plus., • Willing to travel and work 10+ hour field days in peak season., • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PDF; experience with ArcGIS/View, Survey123 preferred., • Proven knowledge of sampling methods and environmental regulations and guide documents., • Ability to read plans and understand building systems (HVAC, insulation, products)., • Experience reading and understanding GIS mapping, contour mapping, and data driven plume mapping., • Ability to direct contractors, drillers, and other field subcontractors during field projects., • Professional performance standards aligned with Fisher’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values., • Proven ability to deliver quality work and solve problems with critical thinking and sound judgment., • Driven to take ownership of projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that fosters personal and professional growth, • Highly adaptable and proactive in meeting deliverables and deadlines, • Committed to building trust and collaboration through integrity, respect, and active listening., • Have a sense of curiosity, always looking for a better way, and a continuous improvement mindset The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
