Job Description Job Title: Package Inspector (1st shift) Job Description As a Packager, you will prepare all required components in the filling rooms and finishing areas, maintain and inspect packaging equipment, and ensure that machinery, workstations, and containers are clean and sanitized. You will be responsible for operating various packaging machines and assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance, while ensuring that all tasks are completed according to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities • Prepare components in filling rooms and finishing areas., • Maintain and visually inspect packaging equipment., • Clean and sanitize machinery, workstations, and containers., • Submit various checklists, documents, and reports related to Packaging., • Adjust and troubleshoot machines in Primary/Secondary areas., • Operate machinery including Bottle Filling, Blister Card, Powder Filling, Silica Pouch, Counter, Metal Detector, and Capper., • Operate Bottle scrambler, Bottle vision inspection, Cap Heat Sealer, Coding, Labeler, Checkweigher, Taper, UPC, and Scale., • Dismantle and reinstall attachments and tooling during changeovers., • Assist with maintenance during troubleshooting., • Submit Maintenance Work Order requests., • Proficiency in packaging and inspection processes., • Experience working in a clean room environment with GMP standards., • Ability to follow directions from senior leadership and supervisors., • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols., • Effective communication skills in English., • Physical capability to stand, walk, carry, climb, twist, bend, grip, and reach regularly., • Competence in operating and understanding machine controls., • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment., • Use of common sense to follow detailed instructions, both written and spoken., • Respectful behavior and consistent attendance., • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting while also working well independently., • Ability to take responsibility on the workstation. Work Environment Packagers will work on a packaging line, standing and inspecting product label information, placing products in boxes, and placing boxes on pallets. The work involves operating a tape machine to seal boxes and may include other responsibilities typical of inspector roles. The environment is fast-paced, with several different lines running at varying speeds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jurupa Valley, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
