Job Description Job Title: Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic / Sheet Metal Helper Job Description This role focuses on commercial sheet metal work, including installing and fabricating duct systems using stainless steel and galvanized materials on active construction sites. You will support HVAC installations, retrofits, and related piping and controls while interpreting blueprints and completing accurate layouts as needed. For quicker response send resume to () Responsibilities • Install, hang, and secure ductwork using stainless steel, galvanized, and other sheet metal materials on commercial construction sites., • Fabricate duct sections and fittings according to project specifications and industry standards., • Install VAV (Variable Air Volume) boxes and ensure proper integration with existing HVAC systems., • Perform work on retrofit projects, including removal, modification, and replacement of existing duct and HVAC components., • Assist with AC installations, including coordination of ductwork, piping, and controls., • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete accurate layouts and installations., • Coordinate with crews and communicate effectively with team members and site contacts to ensure smooth project execution., • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times while on site., • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition. This is a commercial construction site environment with a focus on HVAC and sheet metal work. The typical schedule runs Monday through Friday with 10-hour days, with some Saturdays as needed to support project demands. You must wear appropriate PPE at all times while on site, in line with strict safety standards. New team members complete an on-site orientation before starting work to ensure familiarity with safety procedures and site expectations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
