The HR Leave of Absence Administrator provides support for FMLA, Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment Compensation for all employees. This role effectively coordinates these processes to include process administration and program compliance with all related employment laws. The HR Leave of Absence Administrator performs exemplary customer service and assistance; develops, implements and evaluates ongoing strategies related to managing leaves of absence effectively. What You’ll Do Managing Leaves of Absences • Administers Family & Medical Leave Act policy including fielding all inquiries, communications, with employees, supervisors, etc., • Administers Workers Compensation including inquiries, vendor management and communication relating to injuries., • Administers Unemployment Compensation, acts as the liaison with Vendor, ADP and HR Managers; collect pertinent data to provide to hearing officer, • Serves as the subject matter expert for FMLA, WC, UC & all other leaves in alignment and under the general direction and guidance of HR leadership., • Monitors completion of necessary FMLA and leaves documentation and provides appropriate notification during each the stage of the leave process., • Reviews employee leave requests to determine eligibility and certification in compliance with company policies as well as state and federal leave laws., • Administers Family Medical Leave Act to include tracking hours used/taken for intermittent leave and works closely with the Payroll department to ensure that pay is accurate and correct., • Communicates absences, accommodations and return to work information as appropriate to employees and relevant supervisors/managers & HR Team for follow up., • Manage Workers Compensation claims from initial injury reporting through claim resolution, ensuring timely reporting of workplace injuries and submission or required documentation, • Administer unemployment insurance claims, including responding to requests and confirming employment status, • Provides general support for new projects, system implementations within assigned areas, and HR initiatives, • Provides general administrative and operations support, • Serves as backup for HRIS input Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources, or other related field of study, preferred; appropriate experience may be substituted in lieu of degree Experience • 3+ years’ Human Resources experience, • Experience managing FMLA, WC, and leave programs, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Must possess a high level of customer service skills, • Experience with HRIS, preferred, • Must have excellent computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, • Strong knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, and employment laws including, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, etc., • Must adhere to the JEVS code of conduct, • 401(k), with company match, • Tuition assistance: Available to all employees with at least one year of service, for those enrolled in job-related, accredited, degree or certificate level courses, • Health, Dental, and Vision coverage, • Ample paid vacation and sick time, • 10-12 paid holidays per year, • Pre-tax commuter benefits, • Continuing education, professional development opportunities, retreats, and training, • Employee referral bonus, • Reimbursement of eligible mileage and travel expenses The base pay for this position ranges from $62,000 to $67,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
