Job Description Job Title: Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Location: Utica, NY Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension) Shift: 3x12 – Day/Night Rotation Compensation * Weekly Gross Pay: $2,000 – $2,281 (based on experience) Note: This is a travel position. Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify. Position Summary A healthcare facility in Utica, NY is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting while monitoring patients with cardiac conditions and complex medical needs. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, telemetry monitoring experience, and the flexibility to float to other units when required. Assignment Details * Specialty: Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN * Shift: 3x12 Day/Night Rotation * Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend * Holiday Requirement: Must be available for some holidays * Floating: Required based on patient care needs Responsibilities * Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units * Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition * Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed * Initiate and manage peripheral IV lines and perform phlebotomy procedures * Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen masks, and portable oxygen tanks * Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical record system (EPIC) * Follow infection control, isolation precautions, and patient safety protocols * Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care Required Qualifications * Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State * Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association * Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system * Strong clinical assessment and cardiac monitoring skills Key Skills & Competencies IV Therapy & Phlebotomy * Peripheral IV insertion, maintenance, and medication administration Respiratory Support * Oxygen therapy using nasal cannula, masks, and portable oxygen devices * Non-invasive airway management Professional Practice * Infection control and isolation precautions * Accurate documentation and adherence to patient safety standards For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
