Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Foreman / Working Lead Carpenter to join our team. Based out of the Boston Seaport, this role is hands-on and leadership-driven—ideal for someone with 10–15+ years of experience in residential renovation and small-scale construction. This individual must be capable of performing most aspects of bathroom, kitchen, deck, and basement remodels, while also coordinating closely with Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, and Construction Supervisors to keep projects advancing efficiently and safely. This position requires regular travel to job sites across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Cape Cod & the Islands, Central MA, and occasionally New York City and other regional locations. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with occasional Saturday work depending on project needs. Key Responsibilities • Perform and lead daily construction activities across remodeling projects (bathrooms, kitchens, decks, basements, etc.)., • Prepare, mobilize, and set up job sites including materials acquisition, staging, layout, and workflow planning., • Oversee and enforce jobsite safety, quality control, and adherence to scope of work (SOW)., • Coordinate with APMs, PMs, and Construction Supervisors to ensure project milestones, inspections, and schedule requirements are met., • Communicate professionally with homeowners, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers., • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical documents., • Execute punch lists, manage change orders on site when directed, and maintain clean, organized job sites., • Use construction management platforms (e.g., ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6) for documentation, scheduling, and reporting., • Uphold company standards, culture, and safety protocols at all times. Qualifications • 10–15+ years of hands-on experience in residential remodeling or small-scale construction., • Proven ability to lead while actively performing work in carpentry, framing, finish work, and general renovations., • Strong understanding of building codes, OSHA standards, and safe work practices., • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction documents., • Experience coordinating field teams, subcontractors, and schedules., • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills., • Growth-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude., • Reliable transportation required; candidate must have a clean, professional unmarked work truck or van and essential tools., • Ability to travel throughout MA, RI, Cape Cod, and periodically NYC for project-specific needs. We are a multi-service community center that not only provides meals and shelter but also creates answers for thousands of women a year through wide-ranging support, housing and education services. OPPORTUNITY Rosie’s Place is looking for a Facilities Associate to join our Facilities team. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Facilities Associate ensures the interior and exterior of Rosie’s Place properties are clean and well maintained, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff. The Facilities Associate also assists with pick-up, receiving, moving and storage of deliveries to Rosie’s Place. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including, but not limited to, mopping, vacuuming, buffing floors (using heavy machinery), window and glass cleaning and other heavy and light cleaning of the dining room, bathrooms, offices, staff and common areas, • Maintain a clean, well-kept appearance of the outdoor areas of Rosie’s Place properties, • Assist with deliveries, including receiving, moving and storage of materials and supplies, • Assist with the pick-up of food and other items in the company vehicle at various external sites, driving company vehicles as needed, • Monitor the condition of the buildings and equipment, reporting damage or other concerns to the Assistant Manager of Facilities and the Director of Facilities, • Perform basic maintenance duties and repairs as needed, under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety at all times, • Ability to work in a multicultural setting with people of diverse backgrounds, traditions, customs and personalities, • Be physically able to lift up to 70 pounds, reach, bend and stoop, • Ability to work as a team player, promoting good relations with co-workers and guests, • Excellent organizational and cleanliness skills, • Ability to work independently, problem-solve and prioritize responsibilities, • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times, • Professional cleaning and/or maintenance experience a plus, • Willingness to learn new skills, • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and safe driving record required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Job duties are performed in a variety of settings, including office, commercial kitchen and outdoors. Day to day work includes lifting, stocking and cleaning as well as interaction with staff, guests, and volunteers. Individuals must be physically able to safely lift 70 pounds, reach, bend and stoop, as well as use cleaning products and equipment. HOURS This is a full-time (40 hours) non-exempt position, with the following regularly scheduled hours: • Monday – Friday from 8am to 4pm WHAT WE OFFER The starting pay rate for this role is $25 per hour. Per Rosie’s Place Shift Differential Policy, hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays are compensated at an additional $2 per hour. Job DescriptionDescriptionThe Housing Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing the clerical operations of the program. Key Responsibilities1) Answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate staff 2) Greeting clients and visitors in a professional manner and providing basic program information as needed 3) Document arrival and departure of all visiting professional 4) Manage incoming mail and correspondence and distribute it to the appropriate recipient. 5) Prepare reports and signage as directed by ED or other staff if needed. 6) Scan and electronically file client records and applicable shelter documents 7) Order both office and janitorial supplies and manage inventory. 8) Manage electronic access control to all residents and authorized visiting professionals 9) Keep accurate daily accounts of residents in the program's family log 10) Oversee program amenities usage including laundry, kitchen, play space and common areas 11) Document any curfew or shelter violations 12) Write and submit incident reports for all suspicious behavior and injurious actions within the program13) Track and distribute meals in a timely manner. 14) Submit reports to Hunger Prevention and specified 15) Contact the Executive Director of Housing for all urgent issues and matters that are Housing related 16) Execute, account for and record all residents' evacuation during fire alarm drill or emergency responses 17) Work with program staff to file 51 A reports to the DCF when warranted.
