Job DescriptionBio Skills Lab Technician/Customer Service Associate About the Job This role will support the Bio Skills Lab to ensure the facility is ready and running smoothly for all trainings and demonstrations. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge base in medical devices and/or surgical settings supporting the Lab Manager to ensure the facility is ready and for post sessions. Proven multi-tasking skills are essential as the role will also support the Customer Service team with customer inquiries and troubleshooting efforts to ensure successful customer outcome. Key Responsibilities: Bio Skills Lab Technician • Receive and handle human specimens according to specific instructions., • Prepare samples and specimens for testing, utilizing a wide range of laboratory equipment., • Prepare lab sessions including the processing of necessary forms and documents prior to session., • Support Lab Manager with any needs for the room including air temperature, adjustment to lighting, irrigation, etc., • Support Lab Manager with catering needs and greet guests for Lab sessions., • Adhere strictly to proper procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations., • Maintain cleanliness and sterility of equipment, work areas, and perform necessary maintenance tasks., • Fulfill any additional responsibilities assigned by the lab manager.Customer Service Associate, • Interact with independent sales representatives and customers (telephone, email, online chat, or in person) to provide support and information on existing orders, products or services., • Ensure appropriate actions are taken to troubleshoot inquiries and concerns, in a timely manner., • Maintain records of interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, and comments, as well as actions taken., • Process Shipments as needed including collecting product, prepare box for shipment, prepare label and ship via courier including either drop off or arrange for courier pick up., • Assist the accounting department in reconciling inventory counts sent by sales representatives to maintain control over loaner equipment and trunk stock., • Uses knowledge of a specific product, service, or other assigned area of expertise to field customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staffCompetencies:, • Ideally, 1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory or pursuing studies in biology or a related medical field., • Ideally, 1-2 years of experience working in a customer service role, • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including active listening., • Detail oriented with strong commitment to accuracy and precision in work output., • Computer Experience: MS Office Suite, Excel or ERP (Macola a plus), • Comfortable in a cadaver environment and medical skills training setting, • Demonstrate physical capabilities, including the ability to bend, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy objects (up to 60lbs, including cadavers)., • Flexibility to work Saturday/Sunday/Holidays as needed for Lab Sessions, • HS Diploma or equivalent, • Customer service-oriented mindset and able to resolve customer concerns with a sense of urgency., • Proactive mindset with strong ability to prioritize., • Logical thinker with the ability to analyze and solve problems., • Excellent time management and organizational skills., • Able to work independently and in a team setting.
