Job Description The Clinical educator is part of the clinical education team with a primary focus on training LVTs in all departments. Navigation Services • Conduct street outreach, home visits, escorts and other related activities as needed to engage community members in order to link and retain them in care and services., • Effectively screen and enroll clients into the SAMHSA’s health study using their SUPRT form (comprised of two interviews) as well as conduct follow-up field visits to ensure that those clients, many of whom may have become disengaged from services, complete a 2nd interview 5-6 months later., • Conduct substance use screenings and assessments with people who are using drugs, and make referrals to additional harm reduction services, as well as HIV/HCV/STI screenings as necessary., • Assist with connection to care activities with enrolled clients. Conduct preliminary interviews/screening for program to assess client’s immediate needs, including medical, insurance, case management, mental health, housing, treatment adherence, and other supportive services., • Provide referral services to at least 15 clients per month. Referral services involves the implementation of a brief service plan leading to successful connection to harm reduction and substance use services, including substance use treatment, medication assisted treatment, detox programs, outpatient services, groups, or other support services. Verification of referral services is required of all clients. Completion of service verification is required for all clients., • Complete all necessary programmatic paperwork including assessments, programmatic intakes and reassessments, and service plans., • Ensure the maintenance of appropriate, accurate, and clear documentation of all outreach, education, and client activities, including chart documentation and progress notes., • Complete data entry for client services into required online systems as indicated by funder and by internal Harlem United documentation standards., • Through continuous quality improvement activities, ensure that all clients referred to medical services are connected to care and attend their first medical visit. Assess client need for additional services and ensure that those referrals are provided and attended., • Distribute harm reduction materials including safer sex kits, educational literature, and brochures., • Assist in the guidance of the program’s peer educators, providing assistance for their work with clients in the field., • Perform other duties as assigned. Job DescriptionFamily Engagement Facilitator (FEF) Assigned Borough: Staten Island Supervisor: Director of Community Support & Outreach and Staten Island FACE Center JOB SUMMARY INCLUDEnyc’s Family Engagement Facilitator (FEF) focuses on educational system change and requires an understanding of disability policies and special education, as well as effective family engagement and inclusive educational environments. The FEF co-leads the Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Center project for Staten Island and works with the team's other FEFs and Resource and Referral Specialists (RRSs). The FEF collaborates with external partners to develop and deliver technical assistance, training, and coaching to various stakeholders in the special education and disability community, with a focus on enhancing family engagement capacity to improve educational outcomes for children with disabilities. Stakeholders can include families, school administrators and educators, community groups, and professionals working with children with disabilities. Children’s age groups may span early childhood and school-age ranges, but the position will primarily focus on school-age. For bilingual FEF roles, it is expected that approximately 20%-25% of family engagement outreach activities will be in a language other than American English. Position Details: As part of the Selective Mutism Service team, you will report to the Directors of the Selective Mutism Service. You will participate in an unpaid part-time internship designed to provide students and trainees with supervised, hands-on learning experiences in children's mental health. Interns participate in structured training, observation, and guided practice with children with selective mutism in the Brave Buddies Program. All activities are educational in nature, and licensed staff maintain responsibility for clinical services. In addition to two hours of online trainings completed at home, Program Interns must be available in person for 15 hours each week starting mid to late March 2026 through August 31, 2026. Program Interns are required to be available Thursdays from 1:00pm-6:30pm, as well as additional times arranged more flexibly with supervisors. Furthermore, participation in Brave Buddies, our group-based intensive treatment program for children with SM, is a mandatory component of the internship.
