Job Description Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Edifecs Software Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of healthcare EDI solutions using the Edifecs platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Edifecs Smart Trading Cloud, Application Manager, and related technologies. This role involves defining the overall architecture, integrating with enterprise systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and guiding teams through end-to-end solution delivery. Strong communication and collaboration skills with both domain and technical experts are essential. Key Responsibilities • Lead the architectural design and solution strategy for Edifecs-based healthcare EDI implementations., • Customize and configure SNIP Level Edits., • Define integration patterns for HIPAA-compliant X12 transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278, etc.) and payer/provider workflows., • Collaborate with business, product, and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable EDI solutions., • Provide technical leadership and direction for Edifecs solutions., • Set up and manage API Gateway configurations., • Oversee mapping, validation, error handling, and trading partner onboarding., • Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise integration strategies (APIs, ESB, data lakes, and cloud platforms)., • Drive performance tuning, security, and compliance in EDI transactions., • Collaborate with QA to define testing strategies for EDI workflows., • Mentor developers and analysts on Edifecs best practices., • 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5+ years working on the Edifecs Smart Trading Platform and healthcare EDI., • Proven expertise in Edifecs components such as Transaction Manager (TM), XEngine, SpecBuilder, and TPM., • Strong experience with HIPAA X12 transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278)., • In-depth understanding of healthcare payer and provider workflows, including Medicaid, Medicare, and clearinghouses., • Hands-on experience in EDI mapping, transformation, and enterprise system integration., • Proficiency with databases (SQL/Oracle), middleware, API integration, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred)., • Excellent architectural design, problem-solving, and communication skills., • Experience with Edifecs migration projects., • Exposure to Snowflake, Facets, Epic, or other core healthcare systems., • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery methodologies., • Certifications in Edifecs or healthcare IT standards (if available).
