Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Controller to lead financial operations and ensure accuracy in accounting processes at our organization. This role is vital in managing cash flow, financial planning, and evaluating the company's fiscal health to guide strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and analytical skills to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and cost management. Responsibilities: • Oversee treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, real estate, forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization., • Direct and manage the accounting team to implement efficient procedures and systems that ensure proper record maintenance and robust controls., • Evaluate the organization's financial position and deliver regular reports on liquidity, stability, and growth., • Conduct month-end closings, including recording journal entries and preparing accurate financial statements in compliance with regulations., • Review, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers to ensure completeness and accuracy., • Maintain the fixed asset ledger and generate depreciation entries as required., • Prepare supporting documentation for tax filings and coordinate with external firms to ensure timely submissions., • Develop and manage the annual budget while monitoring cash flow and optimizing payables to strengthen vendor relationships., • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing financial practices., • Monitor inventory levels, oversee cycle counting programs, and assess obsolete inventory for disposal.• A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting leadership., • Proficiency in preparing budgets and managing financial planning processes., • Demonstrated expertise in month-end closings and financial statement preparation., • Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and propose corrective actions., • Knowledge of cost accounting procedures and inventory management., • Familiarity with compliance requirements at federal, state, and local levels., • Ability to lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment., • Exceptional organizational and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with banks, lenders, and external stakeholders.
