Job Description Job Title: Sleep Technician (LVN) Job Description We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who will assist in ensuring the smooth and effective execution of research conducted in the assigned sleep clinic. This role involves overseeing overnight sleep studies, collecting data from accelerometers and circle rings, logging anomalies, and ensuring data is properly collected and uploaded. The LPN will provide skilled research coordination support for clinical and research set-up procedures in accordance with GCP and established SOPs at the Sleep Clinic and Study Sponsor. Responsibilities • Collaborate with the clinic to determine procedures and ensure laboratory clinical protocols are adhered to and followed., • Set up study equipment according to established procedures and study protocol., • Explain the procedure and orient the patient/subject on the requirements of the study and the devices being used., • Document observations, including any clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events to facilitate scoring and interpretation of PSG results., • Collect and upload subject data per approved study protocol and laboratory protocols., • Ensure all required written documentation and computer data entry is thorough and complete within specified timing/schedule., • Ensure patient safety during procedures and evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of interventions., • Participate in staff, study, and departmental meetings., • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with licensure as an LPN., • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an outpatient clinic or hospital setting, providing awake, overnight support., • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification., • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions., • Ability to multi-task with quick turnaround times while under pressure., • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills., • Knowledge of ICH-GCP and Good Documentation Practices., • Effective communication and time management skills., • Experience in critical care or sleep medicine is an asset. The role is remote and in-clinic, with overnight coverage required in San Diego, CA (North County near Carlsbad). This position offers long-term part-time work and requires travel up to 80% within assigned regions and sleep centers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
