Job DescriptionPipefitter MechanicJob Description We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, fitting, and assembling HVAC piping systems, including refrigerant, heating, and gas piping. Candidates should be able to read blueprints, work independently, and safely complete installations on commercial construction projects. Responsibilities • Install, assemble, and fit copper, steel, and black iron piping systems, • Perform brazing, soldering, pipe threading, and mechanical joining methods, • Install refrigerant, chilled water, heating hot water, condensate, and gas piping systems, • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications, • Lay out piping runs and coordinate installations with other trades, • Install supports, hangers, valves, and equipment connections, • Pressure test piping systems and troubleshoot installation issues, • Follow all site safety requirements and company procedures, • Work closely with foremen and project managers to meet project schedulesRequired Skills, • Copper fitting and brazing experience, • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, • Pipe threading and fabrication experience, • Experience with HVAC piping installations, • Knowledge of refrigerant, heating, and gas systems, • Strong understanding of commercial construction practices, • Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionQualifications, • 4+ years of HVAC pipefitting experience, • OSHA 30 Certification, • SST 10 Certification, • F60 Certification (Preferred), • G60 Certification (Preferred), • Experience with VRF and VRV systems preferred, • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to job sitesWhy Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Rochelle, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
