JOB PURPOSE This position plays a multi-faceted role for Operations. It is responsible for obtaining all paperwork related to purchase orders to comply with Department’s policies and procedures also regulations imposed by the Bioterrorism Act of 2002 and all other International regulations pertaining to international seafood trade and imports. This person ensures that company have the most accurate shipment information available for all departments also coordinates payments between our vendors and COSFF Treasury department and provides proof of payment. The salary range for this role is $25-$30/hr. (DOE) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Creates purchase orders of corresponding vendors/suppliers as assigned, • Maintains and updates purchasing data, shipment information and import documents, • Analyzes Depletion Models Report and PO Approval List Report to support Inventory Cap Requirements, • Coordinates with Treasury to ensure that payment is made correctly based on payment terms and other requirements, • Consolidates information and coordinates payment requests with Accounting for expenses related to import shipments, • Assists and maintains information on COSFF web portal, • Reviews incoming documents, • Maintains good relationship with suppliers and inside customers, • Assists Purchasing Supervisor as requested, • Other related duties as assigned from time to time. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience Baccalaureate (BA or BS) degree in business, supply chain management or related program required. Minimum of 2 years purchasing or job-related experience is normally required. Computer Skills Ability to use industry-specific technology, such as logistics and supply chain, enterprise resource planning (ERP). Intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Keep accurate and complete records, • Works well and communicates effectively with others. Knowledge of Spanish required. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and commissions. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical and complex problems and effectively handle a variety of possibilities and/or situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, communicate, usually through talking, hearing, writing and typing. Employee should be able to operate standard office equipment, i.e., telephones, computers, facsimile and copier. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, and move or lift to 35 lbs. The employee regularly works in a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with a moderate degree of noise.
