Job Description JOB DEFINITION: The Youth or Family Workforce Senior Peer Outreach Specialist plays a key role in advancing peer support and engagement strategies for youth and families navigating behavioral health systems. This position draws on lived experience to promote peer involvement, support workforce development, and increase community awareness of youth mental health and the value of peer advocacy. The Specialist will collaborate with grassroots organizations to identify and engage individuals with lived experience who are interested in becoming credentialed Youth or Family Peer Advocates. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Certification as a Youth Peer Advocate or Family Peer Advocate (or both) preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • 3-5 years of relevant experience in peer support, outreach, or community education., • Experience in facilitating trainings or educational sessions., • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills., • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and communities., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Zoom, and other communication tools., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Strong organizational and time-management skills., • Bilingual or multilingual abilities preferred., • Knowledge of local and state-level mental health systems and youth/family advocacy resources preferred., • Experience managing or administering incentive programs or stipends preferred.
