Job Description Job Title: Physician's Assistant (PA) Location: Shreveport, LA 71105 Company: Rapid Orthopaedic Care Job Type: Full Time Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician's Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in patient care by providing high-quality medical services under the supervision of our licensed physicians. This position is critical in ensuring effective patient management, diagnosis, treatment, and education. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct patient assessments and physical examinations to evaluate health status., • Obtain and document detailed medical histories and current health concerns., • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies., • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians., • Perform routine procedures such as suturing, injections, and minor surgeries, as needed., • Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices., • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly., • Document all patient interactions in electronic health records (EHR) in a timely and accurate manner., • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care., • Stay current with medical advances and best practices by participating in continuing education opportunities., • Assist in administrative tasks, including managing patient schedules and maintaining supplies. Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program., • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant., • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)., • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred., • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members., • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment., • Proficient in using electronic health records and other medical software. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in Orthopaedics is a plus., • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
