Job Description Position Summary El Capitan Mobile Home Park, a well-established 76-space all-age manufactured home community in El Cajon, is seeking a professional, organized Community Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure rule compliance, supervise onsite staff, and maintain a high standard of property management. This position requires someone who communicates clearly, maintains appropriate boundaries with residents, and applies policies consistently. The ideal candidate is steady, practical, and able to navigate challenging resident interactions with confidence while maintaining a respectful, professional tone. Company housing is provided and occupancy is required. Our Core Values: • Hands-on Ownership, • Commit to Your Best Work, • Always Learning, • Do the Right Thing Resident Relations & Communication • Serve as the primary point of contact for residents with a professional, courteous, and consistent approach., • Communicate rules, policies, and decisions clearly and in alignment with company standards., • Address resident questions and concerns objectively, maintaining appropriate boundaries., • Conduct regular property inspections for safety, maintenance, and rule adherence., • Apply Mobilehome Residency Law (MRL), Title 25, landlord/tenant laws, and community rules accurately., • Prepare, post, and distribute notices and maintain required records., • Support a community environment where expectations are clear and policies are followed., • Conduct move-in/move-out inspections for park-owned homes., • Prepare and maintain reports of planned move-in/move-outs and vacancies., • Collect and schedule repairs for park-owned home tenant maintenance request forms., • Create punch lists for park-owned home rehabs. followed., • Manage rent collection, posting, and bank deposits., • Maintain organized and accurate digital and physical records., • Read and record utility meter data., • Supervise onsite employees, including maintenance technician, and lock-up porter., • Assign tasks, set priorities, and support staff performance and accountability., • Provide direction and ensure smooth day-to-day operations., • Coordinate and oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers., • Manage work orders from issuance through completion., • Oversee maintenance routines and capital improvement activities., • Perform minor maintenance tasks when needed., • Manage clubhouse and amenity scheduling., • Policies and rules are followed consistently, with clear communication., • Staff and vendors understand expectations and perform reliably., • Documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with company standards., • The community remains clean, orderly, and well-maintained., • Resident interactions are handled calmly, professionally, and with confidence. Required: • Ability and willingness to live in company-provided housing., • 3–5 years of residential property management experience., • Strong communication skills with the ability to remain clear, consistent, and professional., • Ability to maintain boundaries and apply policies reliably., • Experience supervising staff or leading teams., • Knowledge of property management software (Rent Manager, Yardi, AppFolio, etc.)., • Strong organization, time-management, and documentation skills., • Ability to remain composed when navigating difficult or sensitive situations., • AA degree or equivalent education., • Experience in manufactured housing or other property management., • Ability to walk the community for inspections., • Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods., • Hourly: $21 to $22 per hour, DOE, • Housing: Company housing included, occupancy is required., • Medical, dental, and vision benefits., • 401(k) with company match., • 10 paid holidays.
