Job Description SUMMARY: The District Manager (DM) oversees daily operations, performance, and compliance across multiple dispensary locations, ensuring consistent execution of standards, strong sales results, and unified customer experience. The DM partners with the Retail Business Operations Manager, and cross-functional teams to develop staff, uphold merchandising standards, optimize scheduling, and drive efficiency across FoH and BoH operations. This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who balances people management, operational discipline, compliance oversight, analytics, and real-time problem solving, including occasional light hand work to keep stores running smoothly and staff focused on sales. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (this list is not all inclusive) * Oversees daily operations of all retail dispensaries within the assigned district. * Conducts regular site visits to evaluate performance, compliance, staffing, merchandising, and customer experience. * Holds store leadership accountable to policies, procedures, and KPIs. * Reviews sales, labor, inventory, and customer metrics to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions. * Reviews camera footage as needed to investigate misconduct, evaluate unsupervised staff performance, and assess theft concerns. * Serves a liaison to Senior Leadership regarding security issues and ensure post orders remain accurate and consistently followed. * Acts as a primary escalation point for employee relations matters, supporting conflict resolution, coaching, and corrective action. * Partners with HR to ensure consistent application of policies and employee performance expectations. * Supports recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and succession planning for key roles within the district. * Provides real-time coaching and development to managers and leads during store visits. * Idenitfies skill gaps and coordinates necessary training across FoH and BoH teams. * Ensures timely completion of required regulatory, safety, and operational training. * Facilitates team huddles workshops, and on-the-floor coaching to reinforce SOPs and operational standards. * Ensures stores maintain merchandising, product presentation, and visual brand standards. * Verifies promotional materials, menus, and digital signage area accurate and deployed on schedule. * Coordinates with supply chain, marketing, and retail teams on product launches, displays, and brand activations. * Ensures full compliance with local and state cannabis regulations, including DCC requirements. * Monitors ID verification, inventory controls, METRC accuracy, and cash management standards. * Conducts operational audits and ensure timely completion of corrective actions. * Reviews weekly schedules for labor efficiency, coverage needs, and compliance with labor laws. * Optimizes staffing levels based on traffic patterns, sales trends, and operational tasks. * Analyzes FoH and BoH workflows to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and consistency. * Leads process-improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience, speed of service, merchandising execution, and shrink reduction. * Performs minor troubleshooting and light handiwork (e.g. small repairs, fixture adjustments, signage installation) to maintain operational readiness. * Coordinates with facilities vendors for repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance. * Maintains facility standards related to cleanliness, safety, ADA requirements, and overall store readiness. * Executes ad hoc projects as assigned by direct supervisor. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Constantly: Walking, standing, grasping/gripping, bending/stooping/squatting, finger dexterity, POS input, coordination of hand and eye. * Frequently: Standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs, and twisting. * Occasionally: Reaching above shoulder height, lifting 50 lbs., ability to do push/pull motions. * Constantly: Use visual display terminals (e.g., computers, tablets) for extended periods of time. * Frequently: Ability to work weekends, holidays, nights, and retail events. * Frequently: Travels to multiple locations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED * At least 3-5 years of multi-unit retail management experience; cannabis experience strongly preferred. * Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting sales, labor, and operational data. * Advanced knowledge of METRC system. * Knowledge of Cannabis POS systems, such as Dutchie. * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
