POSITION SUMMARY Perform a broad range of responsibilities including manual assembly, operating welding machine, laser marker, laser cutter and/or dimple machine tasks. Support department production tasks by operating, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and issues. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Operate and perform tasks in manual assembly, operating weld machines, laser marker, laser cutter and/or dimple machines., • Perform set up and operate production processes as specified by traveler or work order., • Read and follow technical instructions, drawings, work orders and maintain specific tolerances., • Maintain records of marked parts, job travelers and inspection logs., • Report defects, equipment malfunctions, or deviations from specifications., • May perform laser marking and/or engraving on machined metal parts., • May conduct in-process inspection on work output., • May perform assembly process functions., • Ensure quality product by checking for burrs, burns or incomplete cuts., • Maintain accurate records and logs as appropriate and applicable., • May train others as needed., • Maintain clean and orderly work environment., • Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback. Provide direct leadership and oversight to supervisors and employees in production processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Plan, manage, coordinate and ensure work activities necessary in manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications., • Manage production processes and activities involved in performing metal fabrication, cold drawing, cold rolling, machining, welding, assembly, and thermal processing (heat treat)., • Ensure monthly budgeted top and bottom-line targets are achieved., • Lead and develop team of production supervisors throughout multiple shifts., • Ensure the delivery and quality of product meets or exceeds customer and on-time delivery requirements., • Establish performance goals and metrics for direct reports and team., • Evaluate, facilitate, and drive process improvement to reduce waste and improve labor and process efficiencies., • Prepare, maintain and report out production status and reports., • Recommend, initiate, or execute personnel actions, including terminations, and performance management., • Participate in the recruitment life cycle including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training employees., • Manage and monitor employees and performance through coaching, counseling, monitoring and appraising work performance., • Works with cross functional teams and collaborates with other members of management and contributes to a team effort., • Ensure environmental, health and safety policies are followed in accordance with company policies and procedures., • Conduct and perform training as needed or required., • Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand, and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals, and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Operate computer numerically controlled machines and/or Swiss Screw machines to perform production on metal products., • May pull up new or routine jobs and perform set-up on CNC controller including tool selection and non-CAD/CAM programming or operate manual machine types., • Enters commands to activate machine to align indexing table and spindle., • Monitors machine operations and display readouts to detect malfunctions., • Maintain controls on critical processes through maintenance of tooling and equipment may troubleshoot and solve problems with fellow operators., • May operate and perform manual hand tool functions assigned to the department or area., • Remove finished or completed product and measure dimensions to ensure conformance to specifications., • Inspects and measures machined product to verify conformance to specifications., • Perform machine adjustments and maintenance, such as setting speed and feed rates, cleaning machine parts and replacing worn or damaged drill bits., • Initiate and drive process solutions through feedback and communication with appropriate personnel., • Monitor meters, gauges, valves, temperature, pressure or other related controls to ensure machines are functioning within acceptable ranges., • Maintain accurate records and logs as appropriate and applicable., • May train others as needed., • Maintain clean and orderly work environment., • Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
