This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate hospice care while supporting a collaborative and mission-driven clinical team. As DPCS, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the hospice program, manage multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and staff development. You will serve as the liaison between leadership, patients, families, and community partners, championing both patient advocacy and clinical excellence. Key Responsibilities • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to hospice staff, including case managers, on-call teams, and contracted services, • Supervise, hire, and retain qualified clinical staff, • Oversee patient admissions and ensure hospice eligibility criteria are met, • Participate in staff training, education, and quality assurance programs, • Serve as a liaison between administration, clinical staff, patients, and families, • Lead and implement best practices for documentation, EMR usage, and interdisciplinary collaboration, • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations related to hospice care, • Advocate for patient rights and uphold the organization’s mission and valuesQualifications, • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN or related health field degree, • Active Registered Nurse license in California (required), • Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing (preferred), • Minimum 5 years of professional nursing experience, including at least 3 years in hospice/home health, and 1 year in a supervisory or administrative role, • Strong understanding of hospice regulations, care delivery standards, and interdisciplinary coordination, • Proficient in EMR systems and general computer use, • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insuranceBenefits May Include:, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave, • 401(k) retirement plan and life insurance, • Tuition reimbursement, • Supportive, respectful workplace culture, • Weekly pay, • Medical benefits
