About This Role The Product Manager plays a crucial role in leading the development of SEIU 775’s applications, such as ETL applications, Salesforce, and web-based applications. This role ensures our applications align with business objectives, support data-driven decisions, and drives membership growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in product management, application development, and business analysis. Essential Functions: • Work closely with all stakeholders to understand SEIU 775’s overall goals, objectives, business processes and workflows, and business requirements., • Develop and execute product strategies and roadmap for the responsible systems., • Maintain work backlog through grooming, ticket tracking, and status updates to team and leadership., • Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries and communications. Advocating for customers within the organization and making sure the voice of the business is heard, • Identify and prioritize opportunities for product enhancements and new features based on user feedback, business needs, and developing technologies., • Lead product development lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering, to design, development, testing, and launch., • Engage and collaborate with cross-function teams deliver high-quality products on time and within budget., • Conduct thorough business analysis to understand stakeholder needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement., • Gather and document detailed business requirements, use cases, and process flows., • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for the development team., • Provide regular updates to leadership on product progress, key metrics, and any issues or risks., • Stay current with software updates, features, and best practices, and drive the adoption of new capabilities., • May be required to do political work for candidates and member political education as part of job duties., • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills., • Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban for efficient product development., • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies., • Clear understanding of software development lifecycle., • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders., • Clear communication and people skills that can articulate product visions and strategies to the stakeholders, convey the "why" behind product decisions and fostering a shared understanding of the product’s purpose and value, and Negotiation and Persuasion: Balancing different interests, building consensus, and driving stakeholder buy-in., • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management for software development, with a focus on data management systems and online application development., • 5+ years’ experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, documentation, and process modeling., • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex products from concept to launch., • Professional office or hybrid work environment with frequent collaboration across technical, business, and leadership teams, • Regular engagement with stakeholders, developers, and end users to gather requirements, test features, and assess product performance, • Extensive computer and software use for planning, documentation, analysis, and communication, • Fast-paced, project-driven setting requiring strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking to meet product development deadlines, • Frequent virtual meetings and occasional in-person sessions for product reviews, sprint planning, and strategic discussions, • Work involves managing sensitive organizational data and maintaining discretion when handling member or system information, • Work performed primarily at a desk or workstation involving prolonged computer and screen use, • Extended periods of sitting, typing, and attending virtual or in-person meetings, • Occasional standing, walking, and presenting during cross-functional sessions or trainings, • Minimal physical exertion; occasional lifting or moving of equipment or materials up to 25 pounds, • Standard office environment with moderate noise levels and frequent use of phones, printers, and other office technology, • May require occasional travel for in-person collaboration, conferences, or organization-wide meetings Compensation: Providing current or previous salary information is optional and will not be factored into hiring decisions. Prospective Employees covered by the CBA can request a copy of the wage scale, the CBA, and any current relevant MOUs upon application to the position. This position is full-time, exempt. This position is not included in the Bargaining Unit. Pay ranges from $103,957 – $127,005 per year.
