Status: Full-time, salaried, exempt Job Level: (7) People Leadership Updated: August 2025 SUMMARY The Food Bank Fulfillment Manager plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and effective operations of the warehouse including order fulfillment, inventory management, safety, and compliance processes. They oversee product storage, inventory management, order selection, and staging of orders to be delivered to Foodlink members. This role involves leading and developing a team of staff and upholding all occupational safety, food safety, and regulatory standards. The Fulfillment Manager will be required to collaborate with Logistics, Procurement, and Member Services teams to ensure excellent customer service for our members and to improve the warehouse operations processes for Foodlink. . KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Warehouse Operations • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Foodlink warehouse, including product storage, inventory management, order selection, and staging for delivery., • In collaboration with Food Bank Logistics Manager, ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to Foodlink members along with efficient receipt of products from donors and vendors into the warehouse., • Oversee product sorting operations, including the staff and volunteers responsible for the transformation of donated products to RTL product categories on the shopping list., • Engage and utilize volunteers to support warehouse operations, when possible., • Oversee inventory control procedures to ensure accurate records of product movement into and out of the warehouse., • Coordinate and lead physical inventories and daily cycle counts to ensure reconciliation with Ceres., • Responsible for the management, coaching, and development of warehouse staff including hiring, training, and performance management., • Provide ongoing training in warehouse safety, food handling, and equipment operation., • Serve as a key leader in building a cohesive delivery team centered on The Foodlink Way values and customer service behaviors established for Food Bank staff to create a positive and collaborative team environment., • Ensure seamless and effective communication between direct reports and other departments., • Identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations and implement strategies to streamlines processes that reduce costs and increase accuracy., • Develop and regularly report key performance metrics (KPIs) for warehouse operations that include organizational and individual metrics to evaluate current performance and identify areas of improvement., • Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for warehouse staff that adheres to relevant guidelines and requirements through collaboration with the Safety Manager., • Ensure all staff and volunteers adhere to food safety protocols and warehouse best practices., • Maintain documentation required for audits and inspections including cleaning, training, pest control, and temperature logs., • In collaboration with the Compliance team, ensure all necessary audit requirements are achieved for staff and the Foodlink warehouse., • Budget Management, • Participate in the annual Foodlink budget creation process through the development of an efficient budget for warehouse operations including capital equipment requests, daily operations expenses, and personnel costs., • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or equivalent years of relevant job experience required., • Minimum of five (5) years comparable experience in logistics, warehouse operations or transportation that includes management of five (5) or more direct reports., • Strong leadership and team management skills., • Extensive knowledge of routing and logistics with experience utilizing routing software is preferred., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn required logistics software and systems., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated in a fast-paced environment., • Proven ability to delegate tasks effectively., • Knowledge of inventory management principles., • Forklift certification or ability to obtain., • Food safety certification (e.g. ServSafe) required or ability to obtain. SALARY AND BENEFITS This is a full time, exempt salaried position ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 annually, depending on experience. Foodlink covers 100% of individual health and dental insurance with the ability to acquire family coverage with pretax dollars. In addition to generous paid time off (PTO), we observe 14 paid holidays throughout the year. Opportunity to contribute to a 401k retirement savings plan upon hire.
