The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour on-call psychiatric service, robust creative arts programming, a strong, ambulatory clinics, substance use treatment, integrated re-entry services, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city. The Supervising Psychiatrist is a psychiatric leader of a facility, clinical area, or program and works in close collaboration with the Mental Health Unit Chief, Clinical Supervisors, and Senior Psychiatrist (if applicable) to ensure that a mission-driven, high quality, and innovative standard of psychiatric care is provided to patients with varying levels of mental health needs. Job Description JOB SUMMARY Background: The Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the Department of Health (DOH) are co-defendants in the Stipulation and Order of Settlement, United States v State of New Your, Civil Action No. 13-0CV-4165 (NGG) O’Toole et al. v. Cuomo et al., Civil Action No. 13-CV-4166 (NGG). This settlement requires the state to assist residents of impacted adult homes identified as “class members” to move out of adult homes into supported apartments if they choose to and are eligible. They will have the assistance of a care manager to ensure any needed wrap-around services are in place after the move. An assessment determines the care planning that the care manager must implement as part of the preparation for transition out of the Adult Home. In collaboration with the Nursing Assessor and assigned Care Coordinators, the Social Work Assessor will work with other team members to streamline the assessment and placement into supported housing for identified residents of impacted Adult Homes. They will be responsible for making recommendations about the type of housing and the types of services—physical and behavioral health—as well as non-medical services like Meals on Wheels, etc. The Social Work Assessor will complete assessments for Queens Adult Home and SIBN Adult Home Supported Housing Programs. The Social Work Assessor will complete the housing application's psychiatric evaluation and psychosocial portion. Hourly Rate: $26.44 - $31.25 WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO • Receive, review and process documentation for an assigned base of accounts, and process documents through the system., • Interface with other CEVA systems to provide updates and communications for internal and external customers to produce timely and compliant transactions., • Obtain release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging receiving or delivery, and ensuring invoicing for services is completed accurately and within the timeframe consistent with the account and company policy., • Process other duties required for compliant release and timely delivery and receipt of shipments after release including but not limited to OGA release, cargo delivery set-up, and client invoicing., • Serve as single point of coordination between customers (internal and external), U.S. Customs and Border protection and other government agencies to ensure service commitments are achieved and maintained in accordance with client and company objectives., • Perform initial reviews and advise supervisor of any problems or irregularities discovered within assigned transactions., • Provide excellent and timely customer service by proactively informing clients of the status of their shipments using judgment and knowledge, referring more technical questions to the team leader or licensed broker for response., • Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier or governmental agency examinations that may be required., • Ensure customer profile information is entered and updated in the appropriate company system for any customers; prepares quotations, letters, and communications as directed., • Manage pre-alerts daily to determine whether freight is arriving as expected and ocean documents are received within time standard specified., • Actively pursue a better understanding of the process through self-study, as well as courses and seminars presented by approved sources., • Improve understanding and knowledge of the established system, in both its basic and advanced features., • Perform Import/Export Specialist I responsibilities, when needed., • Perform other duties as assigned.
