Job Description Foster Garvey PC, one of the Pacific Northwest's leading law firms, is looking for a Senior Labor & Employment Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years of experience to join our team in our Seattle office. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to make well-reasoned, effective decisions. Responsibilities: • Develop case fact background, including interviewing and communicating with witnesses, and gathering evidence, • Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses, • Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and document productions in physical and electronic formats, • Coordinate and manage discovery processes, including document review, privilege logs, productions, and plan for and execute e-discovery strategies, • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness files, and courtroom presentations, • Schedule depositions, hearings, and court appearances; coordinate with opposing counsel and court personnel, • Manage outside discovery vendors, • Case and project management, including motions, trial preparation and mediation issues, • Prepare prosecution documents and reporting correspondence to clients, • Communicate with clients throughout initial filing, office actions, publication, allowance, issuance and renewal, • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation from case inception through trial and appeal, • Prepare litigation budgets and portfolios, • Prepare Motions and Appeal Briefs, • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, and observe employee and attorney-client confidentiality This is a full-time role with core business hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm but may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during peak periods. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days in the office. Travel will be required as needed. Skills: • Broad computer knowledge, skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, web browsers, and other compatible and related software, • Electronic discovery experience and strong working knowledge with programs such as Relativity, Digital War Room, or similar software, • Strong attention to detail, • Excellent organizational and project management skills, such as setting priorities, taking initiative, advance planning, and flexibility, • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively, • Strong verbal and written communications skills, • Knowledge of legal research techniques, • Must be accessible and responsive, • Excellent interpersonal skills, • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court filing requirements, • Ability to collaborate and promote team building, • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience with state and federal courts and/or administrative agencies, and a strong working knowledge of court rules and procedures, • Bachelor's degree, • BA-approved paralegal certificate preferred, • Demonstrated experience with e-discovery processes and document management, • In-person and virtual training opportunities., • Collaboration across all Foster Garvey offices. The pay range for this position is $90,000-$120,000 annually; however, actual pay may vary depending on the candidate's education, training, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
