Job Summary: This position will provide high-quality comprehensive dental care to patients while also supervising dental students and clinical staff. The Dentist will perform dental procedures, such as exams, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canals, crowns, bridges, and removable prosthodontics. The Dentist also needs to be experienced in CAD/CAM. This position also has mentoring and teaching responsibilities that will focus on the active engagement of students in the treatment of patients that are assigned to the team-based clinic. The Dentist will work closely with the Director of Clinical Practice to help manage the day-to-day operations of the Team-based clinic. Essential Functions: • Provide high-quality general dentistry services including diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, extractions, preventive care, and patient education., • Oversee the clinical activities of dental students, ensuring compliance with best practices and institutional protocols., • Supervise and mentor dental assistants, hygienists, and other clinical staff to maintain efficient and safe operations., • Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate skill development., • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies., • Participate in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and interdisciplinary consultations., • Promote a positive and professional learning environment, fostering teamwork and patient-centered care., • Stay current with advances in dental techniques, technology, and education methodologies., • Treatment of patients enrolled in the Roseman University Dental Membership Plan, • Serve on appropriate committees, • Participation in continuing education and staff training sessions., • May be required to perform other duties as assigned., • Dedicated to Lifelong Colleague principles Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Supervisory and leadership skills and experience, • Strong clinical skills across general dentistry procedures., • Familiarity with HIPAA, FERPA, OSHA, and laws/regulations pertaining to the practice of dentistry in Nevada, • Commitment to patient care, education, and professional development. Requirements: • DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US or Canadian dental school or equivalent, • Must have a valid Nevada Dental License, • Previous work history of working in a large group practice setting utilizing a team-based philosophy of care and the ability to treat a large volume of patients is preferred. Work Conditions: • Work hours may include evenings and weekends based on patient availability and scheduling., • Work is primarily indoors, but requires the incumbent to be in an outdoor environment when traveling between local campus buildings, off campus, and to other Roseman University facilities out-of-state., • Performing duties and attending events outside the normally scheduled work hours occasionally occurs and is required., • Traveling off-campus to a local, state, regional and/or national event, as well as travel to other Roseman campuses or facilities occurs occasionally and is required., • Work hours may vary due to clinic schedules Required Physical Abilities: • Ability to stand for a long period of time and move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis., • Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate dental equipment, • Must be able to demonstrate and perform up-to-date dental procedures, • Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, hand-written forms, and printed on paper., • Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone., • Ability to lift and carry a stack of forms and documents weighing up to 25 pounds., • Ability to provide and manage care for multiple patients Why Join Roseman University?
