American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Los Angeles, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Work in an acute care Labor & Delivery unit with 12 L&D beds, 10 triage beds, and 12 antepartum beds, • Handles approximately 200 births per month, following AWHONN guidelines for ratios, • Care for antepartum, high-risk pregnancies, deliveries, and postpartum patients (20 weeks and above), • Perform and assist in high-risk deliveries including those involving hypertension, multiples, diabetes, and substance abuse, • Circulating experience for C-sections required, scrubbing preferred, • Uses Cerner EMR and Fetal Link system for fetal monitoring, • Scheduled for 12-hour day shifts (7am-7pm) with every other weekend required, • First to float to antepartum and postpartum units as needed, • No call requirement, • Charge nurse present who may take a patient assignment if needed, • Two OB techs scheduled per shift to assist with deliveries and C-sections, • Responsible for providing comprehensive care for laboring mothers, high-risk pregnancies, and postpartum patients, • Support is provided by 24/7 OB attendings, a neonatologist, RT, and pharmacy staff, • OB techs are available each shift to assist with procedures and supply management, • Floor-specific orientation is three shifts on unit, • May not have been employed by any CommonSpirit facility within the past year, • Scrubs are provided by the facility and must be sterile; acrylic or overlay nails are not allowed, • Holiday coverage required for one major and two minor holidays, • First-time travelers will be considered\n \n Requirements\n, • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration (no pending licenses accepted), • Minimum 4 years of L&D experience required, • Experience with high-risk deliveries and familiarity with medications such as pitocin, mag sulfate, and insulin drips required, • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), • Experience circulating in C-sections required; scrubbing experience preferred, • Recent travel experience is preferred, • Must provide supervisor reference from within the last 12 months and peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years, • Driver’s license must be provided for consideration\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
