Job Overview: The Senior School Finance Specialist will assist the Director of Finance in managing all financial activities of Minga Education Group, ensuring sound fiscal management and transparency, enabling the organization to effectively deliver high-quality support to learning communities. This role is responsible for assisting with budgeting, financial reporting, grant management, audit coordination, and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Processing: • Daily entry and monitoring of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Transactions for multiple charter schools., • Ensure proper documentation, coding, and approval is present for all transactions., • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices, payments, and collections., • maintain updated vendor files, including W-9 forms and contracts., • Ensure proper vendor bid procedures are followed., • Act as MEG site-based team member reporting the status, financial health, and issues of the partner school., • Collaborate with site-based teams and Director of Finance to streamline processes and improve efficiency., • Provide support and training to school staff on financial policies, procedures, and best practices., • Assist in the implementation of new financial systems or processes as directed., • Ensure Partner School maintains the highest level of integrity related to financial transactions and data management., • 100% employee-paid employee health, dental, and vision (up to $1350/mo)., • 401k: 50% match up to 5% of compensation., • Flexible work environment., • Focus on the outcome, not the hours., • Must have advanced experience in Quickbooks Online and Sage accounting softwares., • 3-5 years experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable or related financial role., • Experience in K-12 charter school finance or educational service provision strongly preferred., • Familiar with Colorado Department of Education Chart of Accounts preferred., • Ability to be a trusted partner on a small dynamic team., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills., • Commitment to the organization's mission and values., • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
