Job DescriptionDescription: The Springs Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Engineering to lead all maintenance, facilities, and engineering operations in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This leadership role is essential to ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all resort infrastructure following a significant expansion that introduced new building technologies and systems. The Director of Engineering will oversee preventative maintenance, life safety and fire protection systems, elevator operations, building automation systems (BMS), electronic access control systems (including Dormakaba Ambiance), and renovation projects across both newly developed and legacy areas of the resort. The ideal candidate is a strategic technical leader with experience in modern building systems, resort renovations, elevator troubleshooting and vendor management, and team development. This individual must possess a strong eye for detail, the ability to teach and mentor team members, and a proactive approach to maintaining operational excellence across all resort outlets. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEngineering Leadership & Strategy • Provide overall leadership, direction, and accountability for the Engineering and Maintenance department, reporting to the General Manager and leading a team of engineering and maintenance professionals responsible for resort-wide infrastructure operations., • Accountable for system uptime, preventative maintenance
