Constructs plywood shipping boxes. Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with co-workers, outside partners, i.e. Government Inspectors. Properly store, use, and dispose of waste/ HAZMAT, scrap metal in accordance with posted Local/ State regulations and Company policy. Paint and prime product per customer and government specifications/ contracts. Maintains regular attendance and adherence to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities. Works overtime as required with advance approval from manager. Observes safe work practices and safety methods, follows all safety rules and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures. Maintains a clean and orderly workstation. Performs duties in a professional manner and teams well with others. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent, 2 + years' experience in pump repair., • Military experience highly preferred, • Ability to be granted military base access, • Valid Drivers License with clean driving record, • Working knowledge of all tools and measuring devices required for pump repair, • Ability to read and write in English., • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures or governmental regulations., • Ability to write basic reports and business correspondence., • Effectively communicate by responding to questions from groups of managers, engineers, and other customers., • Ability to understand and apply basic math principles., • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form., • Read and interpret drawings technical information and government contracts., • Proficient in all Shop Processes and Procedures. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Work Environment: The environment is primarily in a controlled climate office and warehouse setting but will require time on the shop floor. The Shop floor environment is subject to moderate changes in temperature and the employee will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
