Redefine Healthcare is looking for a dedicated, full-time Procedure Scheduler to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Edison Office. The Procedure Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling medical procedures, ensuring efficient use of clinical resources, and providing clear communication to patients and providers regarding their appointments and preparation requirements. Job Title: Procedure Scheduler Pay Rate: $20-23/hour depending on specialty and experience Hours: 40 hours per week Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Paid time off, sick time, health insurance (medical, dental, vision, accident, and critical illness), life insurance, 401(k) with Company match, yearly bonus Job Title Duties (not limited to): • Schedule patient procedures efficiently, ensuring appropriate timing, resources, and staffing., • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to scheduling procedures., • Communicate pre-procedure instructions and requirements to patients., • Coordinate with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams to ensure smooth workflow., • Confirm and update procedure schedules, addressing cancellations or rescheduling as needed., • Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system., • Assist with reporting on scheduling trends, utilization, and patient flow., • Participate in ad hoc projects and perform additional duties as assigned. Maintain Licensure or Certification: • Certification in medical administration, patient scheduling, or healthcare operations a plus. Minimum Level of Education or Experience Required: • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field is a plus., • 1–2 years of experience in medical scheduling, patient coordination, or administrative support in a healthcare setting., • Knowledge of insurance verification, medical terminology, and procedure requirements., • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills., • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications., • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, especially spinal, musculoskeletal and neurological.
