Job DescriptionJob Title: Medical Assistant - Florham ParkJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and eager-to-learn Medical Assistant to join a hand surgeon's team. This role is perfect for someone who is hardworking, easy to collaborate with, and ready to take on new challenges. Responsibilities • Room patients and prepare them for any necessary scans., • Take and record patient vitals accurately., • Send imaging orders and cases to radiology or MRI departments., • Guide patients on the next steps for follow-up scans or appointments., • Schedule follow-up visits or imaging as required., • Coordinate with the surgical scheduler and patients if surgery is necessary., • Follow up with patients to complete necessary forms or documentation., • Reschedule patient appointments when needed., • Prepare charts for both physician and physician assistant patients., • Update and manage Athena EMR buckets., • Send lab results to the appropriate providers., • Close out Physical Therapy notes., • Maintain and update EMR inboxes and patient records., • Restock exam rooms and supply closets, and manage inventory.Essential Skills, • Experience in medical assisting and patient care., • Proficiency in using EMR systems, preferably Athena or Epic., • Ability to take and record vitals., • High school diploma or GED required., • Strong customer service and bedside skills., • Team player with a willingness to learn.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Certified Medical Assistant preferred, but not required.
