Job Description Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Kansas City, MO, US, 64124. This is around 3+ month contract with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Title: Phlebotomist II Location: Kansas City, MO, US, 64124 Pay Rate: $20 - $28/hr. on W2. Shift: Shifts can range from 6:30 AM start to some ending at 8:00 PM, 8 hrs. per day only. *Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications. Job Responsibilities: • Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages., • Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process., • Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms., • Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results, • Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity., • Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal, • Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers., • Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings., • Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes. Job Requirements: • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision., • Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric., • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, • Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Additional Job Details: Floating between 3 KC Care locations, if all sites are full may float to outlying KC area for coverage. Shifts for Monday and Tuesday could go as long as 8PM, 8 hour maximum. Earliest start time could be 6:30AM. 8 hour max.
