Job DescriptionDescription: Position Overview The National Logistics Manager plays a key role in Waiakea’s growth by leading all freight execution, transportation strategy, and national logistics operations across our mainland 3PL network, ecommerce distribution channels, ocean freight partners, parcel providers, and LTL/FTL carriers. This role oversees daily logistics execution across the U.S. and collaborates closely with Supply Chain Operations, Inventory Control, Hawaii Operations, and our Logistics Coordinators to ensure product availability and delivery excellence. This position reports directly to the VP of Supply Chain. Essential Job Functions: • Transportation & Freight Execution: Lead daily tendering, routing, tracking, and shipment execution across all transportation modes., • Carrier Management, Cost Optimization & Budget Ownership: Manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and optimize transportation performance while owning the national freight budget, cost-per-case metrics, and lane-level profitability to drive year-over-year freight cost reductions., • Network Logistics Strategy: Support inventory flow, multi-node replenishment, load consolidation, mode optimization, and routing improvements across the national network., • Logistics Systems, Data & Reporting: Utilize Shipwell TMS, SPS Commerce, Celigo, and NetSuite to manage freight execution, visibility, data accuracy, and compliance., • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Operations, Sales, and 3PL partners to meet customer delivery requirements and resolve logistics issues., • Team Leadership: Provide daily functional direction to Logistics Coordinators and support SOP development, training, and continuous improvement. Starting pay will be determined based on the candidate's background, skill, and knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics. Schedule: The ideal candidate will be available to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm PST, and occasional weekends as needed. Days and times may vary. Location: Remote (West Coast preferred, but open to qualified candidates in all U.S. states). Minimal travel may be required. Requirements: Experience & Skills: • 4+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or freight management (ocean, FTL, LTL, intermodal, rail, parcel), • Experience managing 3PLs, carriers, and multi-node logistics networks, • Working knowledge of Shipwell TMS, SPS Commerce, Celigo, and NetSuite (or similar systems), • Strong understanding of freight optimization, routing, mode selection, and cost drivers, • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, build consensus, and drive results; strong knowledge of servant leadership model and methods, • Proven track record in managing complex supply chains across different industries, • Strong analytical capabilities to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and making informed decisions, • High school diploma/ GED Required, • It’s a Kakou Thing- Works together with team members to find solutions., • Live Aloha- Be positive, love unconditionally., • Kulia i ka nuu- Constant improvement; Strive to reach the summit., • Be Pono- To have integrity and find harmony within yourself, the Aina, your community and work.
