RCM Configuration Analyst II (436) Fresno, CA The RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) Configuration Analyst II is responsible for providing specialized support in the ongoing development of the revenue cycle EHR configuration, support applications, and standardized procedures. This position will assist in the configuration and support of billing system parameters (rules, logic, coding, etc.) to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of processes within the RCM system applications. The position will work directly with the lead configuration analyst and internal EHR teams to support revenue cycle functionality changes to meet ongoing regulatory requirements and customer needs. How will I contribute • In consultation with the lead configuration analyst and/or Director of Revenue, support communication relating to revenue cycle implementation plans or changes to internal teams and staff., • Assist in working directly with EHR vendor(s) and management on the development and maintenance of the EHR in support of regulatory changes and customer best practices., • Work collaboratively with the configuration team and internal staff on the revenue cycle maintenance and troubleshooting of the EHR., • Assist in the review and research of State/Federal guidelines and other information notices to discuss revenue cycle configuration strategies., • Participate as needed in State, Federal, and other EHR work groups as applicable to this position., • Serve as a technical resource to internal EHR teams in the areas of revenue cycle system configuration, usage, standard procedures, assisting with the development of instructions as needed., • Assist internal EHR teams in the development of revenue cycle support tools and/or applications., • Assist with providing internal communication or training as needed on new features, regulatory, and/or design changes., • Assist internal staff in the development of external customer training (train-the-trainer) as needed., • Assist with system testing, troubleshooting, and validation as related to the revenue cycle application, including new release of functionality, as requested., • Maintain knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other payor requirements, regulations, standards, and workflows., • Develop knowledge of EHR application(s) as available through user forms, online knowledge bases, release notes, etc., • Assist with the application of EHR system changes impacting revenue cycle billing structures including, but not limited to billing matrices, payer specifics, geo areas, location, service types, credential groups, rollup codes, overproduction settings, rate updates, payer plans/payer types, and qualifying criteria., • Assist with revenue cycle data integration(s) using imports to maintain the EHR., • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall functioning and success of the department. What I bring * Bachelor's degree in computer, finance, business, or healthcare related • Class C driver's license, • 3 years experience in revenue cycle management, EHR systems (like Epic or similar), and system configuration. Bachelors Degree in Computer, finance, business, or healthcare related; or comparable quantitative field or equivalent related work experience., • Working knowledge of EHR revenue cycle configuration and/or regulatory updates to existing systems. Working knowledge and experience with companion guides or other technical support documents. Strong knowledge of HCPC/CPT coding, ICD-10, and modifier selection. Working knowledge of billing-related X12 EDI specifications, specifically 837, 835, and 999s. Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Private Insurance workflows and regulations. Working knowledge of and experience with the full revenue cycle workflow. Strong knowledge of using Excel to create imports and manage data integrations., • Must have strong communication skills and ability to work with technical teams, provide guidance, explain regulations, and communicate with various users. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills., • Excellent analytical and technical skills, a deep understanding of healthcare billing regulations, and the ability to lead teams and projects. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as the position involves working across departments and with external vendors to ensure system accuracy and compliance. Leadership experience and the ability to interpret and implement complex regulatory requirements are also key characteristics., • Certified CPT coder preferred.
