A Mechanical Engineer - Designs, develops, and improves mechanical systems and manufacturing processes to enhance product performance, efficiency, and reliability. In a manufacturing environment, they collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to solve technical issues, optimize equipment, and ensure products meet engineering and safety standards. Job Duties: • Create and refine mechanical components and processes using CAD software., • Develop prototypes and oversee testing to validate design functionality and performance., • Ensure components meet customer specifications., • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement, to support project objectives., • Communicate technical findings and project updates to stakeholders., • Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful execution., • Assist in the transition of components to production., • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges., • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs., • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including technical drawings, processes, and specifications., • Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulations., • Ensure compliance with Rand’s AS9100 Quality Management System. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field., • Experience in defense-related manufacturing is a plus., • Experience with CNC machining is a plus., • Prior Management Experience is a plus., • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo)., • Strong analytical skills., • Knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems., • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail., • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment., • Strong communication and project management skills.
