Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Operates nut forming machines., • Moves control to cycle machine through settings, stopping the machine and adjusting to positions and machine controls to allow for operating factors such as timing and the clearance between moving parts., • Positions and secures heading wire onto stock feeding mechanism., • Adjust specific tooling and transfer fingers at each station., • Start machine, observes the operation and inspects first run and sample workpiece to ensure machine conforms to specifications., • Inspects parts using micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools, to ensure compliance with specification., • Reads blueprint or job order for product specification such as dimensions, tolerance, number or parts to be formed and tooling instruction on type tooling required., • Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping and following safety regulations., • Suggest process improvement ideas., • Use the 3 pan system through your production run., • Working experience in a fastener manufacturing environment., • Working knowledge of nut forming machinery and procedures., • Ability to inspect parts with variety of inspections instruments.
