As a part of Uptown Community Health Center, Bruner Family Medicine sees patients of all ages and backgrounds. As the main clinic for a Residency program we have over 30 different Providers. We have 4 specialty clinics within Bruner that are ran by our Faculty. Our Integrated Behavioral Health Providers work closely with the health center's interdisciplinary team to assess and provide behavioral health treatment in the primary care setting. The Psychologist is responsible for providing outpatient psychotherapy to patients of Uptown Community Health Center, which is an ethnically and socially diverse patient population across the lifespan. The Psychologist assess and evaluate individuals' problems through the use of case history, interview, and observation and provide individual or group counseling services to assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment. In this role your responsibilities include: Provides risk assessments of behavioral health conditions (e.g. PHQ9, SBIRT, etc.) for the purpose of advising primary care providers, referral to psychiatrist and/or other appropriate level of care. Consults with primary care providers to improve patient functioning and health status. Provides patient care within scope of services. Leads individual behavioral health and health promotion interventions. Coordinates care with center and community providers to ensure delivery of integrated comprehensive primary care services. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Provide psychotherapeutic services to patients . Provide assessment through a variety of psychological and/or psychosocial evaluation/testing techniques. Provide counseling through a variety of treatment modalities, with an emphasis on brief treatment, group work and family therapy. Act as liaison with other community agencies on the client's behalf when appropriate. May participate in supervision as requested by the Director of Behavioral Health. Provide consultation and education to other agency staff. Provide clinical supervision to non-psychologists. Responsible for documenting service encounters in a thorough, accurate and timely manner. Documentation shall be compliant with supervisory instruction and according to protocols established by the health center and Medicaid standards. Participates in periodic training, and satisfactorily completes required training in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Licensure: Required Colorado psychology license or eligible for Colorado license (PhD or PsyD) Required: Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology One (1) year of experience in a medical setting treating medical patients. Preferred: Specific experience in behavioral medicine/health psychology, with expertise working in primary care, including psychological assessment, cognitive-behavior therapy, relaxation techniques, systematic desensitization therapy, behavioral preparation for procedures and pain management. Two (2) years experience in integrated healthcare or primary care. Experience with Epic application and heath record. Experience and understanding of Microsoft Office Experience working with and sensitivity toward special populations, including those with limited income, limited education, and non-English speaking individuals. Bilingual English / Spanish, complete comprehension, literacy, and fluency in both languages.
