Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care within a step-down nursing unit. The clinical nurse will be an essential part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering individualized care to patients and supporting their families in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This contract position requires licensed Registered Nurses who demonstrate clinical proficiency, critical thinking, and collaborative skills in line with professional nursing standards. Responsibilities: • Perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care., • Deliver culturally sensitive, relationship-based care tailored to population-specific needs., • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care., • Participate actively in interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives., • Serve as a preceptor or mentor when needed, promoting professional development., • Adhere to evidence-based practice and organizational policies, including safety and regulatory standards., • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelors degree preferred., • Valid RN license (single or multi-state compact) and current BLS certification mandatory upon hire., • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and RN License., • Preferred experience with IV Heparin administration., • Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment and respond calmly to emergencies., • Night shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, • Every other weekend This position is a contract opportunity designed for nurses seeking a specialized clinical role in step-down nursing.
