American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: OR - Operating Room, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 01/05/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Position is in the Operating Room at a large teaching and Magnet-designated hospital, • Primarily night shift, working 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, • Patient population includes neuro, transplant, orthopedic sports, minimally invasive, robotics, general, GYN, urology, and plastics cases, • Expect to float within the hospital as needed; no floating to sister hospitals, • Scrubs are provided with any color permitted for OR personnel, • Epic EMR is used; Epic experience preferred but not required, • May be assigned charge duties, • 28 OR rooms with an average daily census of 50-75 cases, • Role may include charge nurse responsibilities, • Responsibilities include circulating a variety of surgical cases, with emphasis on neuro, transplant, and willingness to cover other specialties if needed, • Team-oriented environment within a busy, high-acuity academic center, • Orientation sessions are held twice monthly, with Epic module completion during orientation, • Modules must be completed pre-start; facility tracks completion via transcripts, • First-time travelers are accepted for this position, • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers, • No radius requirement for eligibility, • RTO (requested time off) is restricted to one week max and not allowed during orientation week\n \n Requirements\n, • Active WA or Compact RN license required, • Current BLS certification required, • 3-4 years of OR RN experience strongly preferred; minimum of 2 years required, • Strong neuro experience required; willingness to circulate cardiac and transplant cases (cardiac skills not mandatory), • Experience with multiple service lines such as cardiac and robotics is highly preferred, • Teaching hospital and trauma experience is preferred, • EPIC charting experience is a plus but not required, • Must be fully COVID vaccinated and boosted, • Must submit two references, preferably supervisory or charge, for consideration, • No pending licenses accepted; license must be active at time of submission, • Prior UW staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
