Job DescriptionDescription: SUMMARY Reporting to the Pharmacist in Charge, the Clinical Intervention Center Pharmacist (CIC RPh) plays a critical role in the healthcare industry by ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. The primary responsibilities of the CIC RPh involve monitoring clinical clarifications, change in prescriptions, backorders and anything else that would hinder the dispensing of medication to a patient. They are also responsible for communication with nursing centers and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Determine if alternative orders are required or for short term out of stock issues, utilizing backup pharmacies., • Respond to email and other electronic communication (internal and external) including requests for RX Verify control withdrawals (if appropriately licensed)., • Review emergency CII prescriptions and contact the center or MD to ensure timely receipt of hardcopies., • All other duties as assigned.
