Job Description Job Title: Sports Grill Supervisor Classification: Non-Exempt Role Description Dallas Country Club is currently seeking a qualified Supervisor for our Sports Grill restaurant. DCC, founded in 1896, is the most exclusive and prestigious private club in the area and we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best. The supervisor's main function is to promote and ensure guest satisfaction, achieved through his/her ability to develop and maintain a strong team environment, placing emphasis on associate satisfaction and delivery of prompt, courteous, correct service. The restaurant supervisor is accountable for sales and profit in his/her area. NOTE: This position should be considered supervisory in nature - administrative tasks should be limited to scheduling with a knowledge of the budget progress report. The supervisor should always be on the floor. Key Responsibilities • Assist in maintaining a highly motivated and well-trained staff on menu/job knowledge and daily specials., • Assist in ensuring scheduling functions are performed accurately and on a timely basis., • Ensure staff keep areas/grounds free of debris for presentation and safety., • Open and close shift in accordance with manager's checklist., • Train, maintain and enforce all DCC service standards using use records, menus, and appropriate reference materials., • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates and Members., • Assist with Management in gathering and implementing all proper tools for running shifts, (e.g., schedules, floor plans, reservations, checks)., • Assists the dining room manager and other employees in assuring that the club's policies and procedures for serving alcoholic beverages are consistently followed., • Find solutions for problems such as call outs, last-minute bookings or any other daily problems that may arise., • During shift, ensure that Members are satisfied by assisting with serving, seating, and communication with kitchen and by striving to speak to all Member/guests., • Be on the floor during the entire meal period and ensure adequate coverage., • Ensure all opening and closing side work is done on a daily basis., • Ensure staff are keeping patios/verandas/bar/dining rooms free of debris, ready for weather, and safe., • Maintain proper associate uniform standards., • Assist any associate in his/her job performance, when required, to ensure guest satisfaction., • Supervisor area of responsibility to include; Lead Trainer for Service Staff, Update Menu Quizzes, Side-Work and Opening Closing Duties for Servers and Server Assistants, Pre-Shift Topics and Motivational Games, Upkeep Server Workbook and Training Final Test. The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge: • Minimum of two years food service or related hospitality management experience., • High School degree or equivalent required., • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred., • Written/verbal communication skills., • Demonstrated leadership qualities., • Must be Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficient, • TABC and Food handling certification required The ideal candidate will have the following competencies and qualities: • Able to work with teams., • Basic technical knowledge of restaurant operations., • Demonstrated hospitality skills., • Demonstrated strong work ethic.
